In 6th and 7th grade Visual Art, students learn step-by-step various art practices to express their imagination and unique point of view. Focusing on their personal ideas and emotions as inspiration, they translate them to accessible symbolic images with the aim of better understanding themselves and the world we live in. ​

 

With the Elements and Principles of Art and Design as the foundation for visual storytelling, they explore observational drawing, digital art, ceramic sculpture, and abstract mixed media. In addition to creating artwork, they learn about art history, contemporary artists, and how discuss and present artwork.
